Situated along the Mediterranean coast between Marbella and Estepona in Malaga, Ikos Andalusia was designed as a serene oasis on the Costa del Sol. Studio Gronda led the hotel project, transforming seven independent buildings into a luxurious complex with 411 rooms and suites; a dining area featuring six restaurants helmed by five Michelin-star chefs, along with six bars; and extensive leisure and wellness facilities, including 4,000 square meters of swimming pools. This exclusive resort integrates harmoniously with the natural surroundings, reflecting the essence of the Greek chain through architecture and design that emphasize serenity and sophistication.
Seven new buildings were constructed, repurposing outdated structures into a high-end resort, where all rooms offer sea views, day beds, and hammocks on spacious terraces. Utilizing light natural woods and premium finishes, the architecture focuses on enhancing user experiences, conveying the exclusivity of a luxury destination through thoughtfully chosen materials and transformed landscaping that connects the pools, gardens, and the sea.
For this intricate and meticulously detailed project, Jalman Architecture oversaw the complete technical design, with Zelia Alves as a member of the team.
