Designed to be the primary health facility for the province, this hospital integrates two existing public infrastructures into a new public-private building. One of the largest hospitals in Europe, it focuses on patient well-being through sunlit spaces and therapeutic gardens to reduce stress.

Situated on a hillside near Vigo, the building harmonizes with the landscape, featuring a stone base that houses the outpatient area. Above it lies a spacious garden and public area providing access to the hospital. The six inpatient blocks appear to float above this base, offering stunning views of the valley and garden.

The top floor accommodates the diagnosis and treatment area with specialized and emergency access. A large glass volume connects the entire complex, facilitating vertical and horizontal movement for medical staff, patients, and visitors, along with housing facilities and supplies.
